CHESTERFIELD magistrates’ court heard how a row over a kiss led to a Matlock dad-to-be ripping up £90 belonging to his girlfriend.
Cherylee Frost-Spencer told police Jonathan Burton walked into a bedroom and asked about a male she had kissed the previous weekend.
Prosecuting solicitor Sarah Haslam said Ms Frost-Spencer also asked Burton about a girl and during a row he tipped over drawers.
Burton then ripped up bank notes and damaged a mobile phone belonging to Ms Frost-Spencer who believed he had problems with drugs, according to Mrs Haslam.
Burton, 24, of Hill Tops View, Matlock, admitted damaging property on August 27. He was fined £125 and ordered to pay £180 compensation to Ms Frost-Spencer, who has a son and is expecting his child. Defence solicitor Joe Harvey said Burton wants a relationship and no longer wants drugs.
