Individual experiences 'medical emergency' in Wingerworth

A member of the public contacted the Derbyshire Times this morning to say they saw a person lying on the pavement at the bus stop on Deerlands Road.

A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 10.23am.

"The caller reported that someone was experiencing a medical emergency.

"We sent a crewed ambulance and one patient was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital."
