HOPE: Show set for 160th year

An agricultural show is set for another big year when it returns to Hope over the August bank holiday.

Based on farming customs and run by an army of volunteers, this year’s Hope Show will feature sheepdog trials, horse classes, sheep shearing, classic cars and a horticulture tent.

A horseback stunt show, Blazing Saddles, will also feature at the event based at Marsh Farm, Castleton.

Tickets cost £9 for adults, £6 concessions and £3 for children aged 5-16. Under 5s go free.
