A six-year-old go-karting champ needs a sponsor to be able to follow his dream.
Joel Power is racing mad and having only been doing the sport for a year already has his heart set on competing in the national Motor Sports Association bambino competition next year.
However, with the cost of fuel, tyres and equipment rocketing the youngster needs someone to get behind him.
His mum Jordan, 29, said: “We took him for a track day in November last year and he fell in love with go-karting.
“He could already tell you the most amazing stuff about Formula 1 as he watches everything to do with it and remembers everything.
“But being in the cart made him so happy and the instructor said he was a natural.”
The Heath Primary pupil needs to be noticed said Jordan and given training so he can advance.
The family from Shaw Street bought a go-kart to help Jordan improve and he competes in races every month.
Jordan said: “Buying the cart has made a big dent to our savings, and with a set of four tyres costing £200 and fuel is roughly £20 per race and then there is entry fees we don’t want to stop supporting him but we just need someone who can see his potential and give him the financial backing he needs to progress.
“He has the talent and I don’t want this to be the end of his dream.”
