Chesterfield's historic Greenwoods store is set to close.

Staff have confirmed that the Packers Row shop will shut on Saturday, December 8.

A closing down sale is currently taking place at the store, which sells menswear.

Greenwoods - which was founded in 1860 - went into administration last year but was subsequently bought by Stockport-based Versatile International Trading Ltd, saving many stores.

The Derbyshire Times is awaiting further information from Versatile International Trading Ltd.
