High Peak Mayor competes in 17th Peaks and Dales Run

Mayor of the High Peak, Councillor Tony Kemp took part in the 17th Peaks and Dales Run, organised by the Hare and Hounds Classic Vehicle Club, on Sunday, June 16th, in his 1963 Humber Sceptre.

Drivers of the 50 or 90-mile race, in aid of North West Blood Bikes, started in Marple Memorial Park and finished at Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens.

Cllr Kemp awarded the “car he would most like to go home in” prize to Richard Burnham’s 1965 Sunbeam Alpine sports model.
