Help at hand for would-be volunteers

Help is at hand for would-be community volunteers with the arrival of new monthly drop-in sessions.

The Volunteer Centre Derbyshire Dales will be hosting the monthly sessions in Matlock Town Hall, Bank Road, on the first Tuesday of every month.

Sessions start on September 3, between 10am and 12pm, and no prior booking is required.

Sam Tock, volunteering development officer, said: “Volunteering can be a great way to build up your CV, gain experience, increase your self-confidence and make new friends. The Volunteer Centre can help you to find the role that is right for you – matching your interests, skills and availability with a range of opportunities.”
