Heath Fun Day boasts a variety of festivities for families and revellers

Families and revellers are being invited to the forthcoming Heath Fun Day where they can enjoy a variety of festivities, activities and refreshments.

The festival is being held at Heath Estate Park, off Heath Road and Bracken Avenue, in Heath, from 10am to 2pm, on Saturday, July 9, with free entry.

Heath Fun Day will include a car boot sale, stalls, a bouncy castle, circus skills, a petting zoo, Sporting Futures activities, competitions, quad biking, a fair, Go Extreme activities and more.

The event has been organised by Heath and Holmewood Healthy Futures which is a sub-group of Heath and Holmewood Parish Council.

Healthy Futures Chairman Angela Parry said: “The aim of our group is to provide healthy lifestyle changes to the local community including exercise, healthy eating and encouraging community participation.

“We are supported by the parish council and NE Derbyshire District Council and many activities are provided through the Village Games and Sporting Futures groups.”

Entry to the Heath Fun Day is free with free parking available in the nearby Primary School car park.
