North Derbyshire Animal Support is appealing for donations to help cover vital medical costs for a poorly stray who has been found with a massive tumour.

The elderly Staffordshire Bull Terrier was found stranded and has been temporarily placed in the care of the Bolsover District Council’s dog warden and the support group. It is feared Ronnie’s condition is worsening.

North Derbyshire Animal Support is trying to raise funds to pay for Ronnie’s surgery to have the large tumour on his left foot removed as quickly possible.

Jill Woodward, of North Derbyshire Animal Support, said: “This lovely old boy deserves a chance.”

Anyone wishing to donate or help rehome Ronnie is urged to call Jill on 01246 498569.
