Hathersage couple first ever to tie the knot at Haddon Hall
Ellie Williams, 23, and her husband Craig Williams, 38, made history as they were married at the hall near Bakewell early last month.
The bride, who came across the venue as she was browsing the web, said she wanted somewhere special to tie the knot and Haddon Hall was the place.

When she could not find a wedding section on the hall’s website, she sent an email to enquire, before being told Haddon had only just been granted their wedding license.
They are now officially the first people to have ever wed at Haddon Hall, which dates from between the 12th to the 17th centuries.
Ellie said: “It was a fantastic day, although unfortunately it rained, but the photos look amazing.

“Haddon Hall came up and there was nothing at all on their website about weddings, so I emailed them about it.
“I got a response then that told me they had only just got their wedding license, so we went to have a look and picked a date, as they had every one avaliable.

Looking to the future, the pair, who both work with disabled and disadvantaged people, would like to set up their own disadvantaged persons’ activity centre.
