Police are investigating after gunshots were fired outside a pub in the Peak District National Park.
The incident happened outside the Fox House Inn on Hathersage Road, Longshaw, at about 12.45pm on Sunday.
A number of police cars were sent to the area after the shots were fired and nobody was injured.
Detective Inspector Richard Partridge, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “I fully understand an incident like this will cause some distress but I want to offer reassurance that a full investigation is now underway and officers remain in the area providing a high-visibility presence and carrying out enquiries.
“Thankfully, nobody was injured and we do believe a number of people may have witnessed the incident.
“I would urge them to come forward and contact police so we can identify those involved.
