Group of drug dealers jailed for more than 25 years

A group of seven men have been sentenced for drug offences including conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

They were sentenced over two days at Derby Crown Court last week and were all charged with conspiracy to supply Class A or Class B drugs.

Khaver Zarif, 23, of Osmaston Park Road, Allenton was sentenced to five years and one month, Majmar Wali, 21, of the same address received five years and six months.

Vaqar Hussain, 23, of Almond Street, Derby was sentenced to four years and three months; Naeem Younis, 22, of Balfour Road, Derby received four years and six months.

Muddasser Zarif, 23, of Osmaston Park Road was sentenced to three years in prison, Kevin Growcott, 36, of Acorn Drive, Belper received a 18 month sentence, suspended for two years and Muqadam Sadat, 21, of Rosehill Street, Derby was sentenced to 18 months, suspended for two years.

The offences took place in Belper and Derby and date back to 2015.

Detective Sergeant Gareth Smethem said: “This investigation was intelligence led and I would like to thank the public for their assistance with this.

“This group has now been dismantled and brought to justice, therefore removing these criminals and drugs from our local communities.”
