Chesterfield Market is one of the places that gives the town its character.
The general market is open on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.
There is also by the flea market on Thursdays and the farmers’ market, which is every second Thursday of the month as well as a Car Boot sale every Sunday at the Holywell cross car park.
Open from 10am-4pm, the market offers many different products from fruit and veg stalls to cheap books, antiques, clothes and quality local food produce.
Cllr Nick Stringer, Executive Member for Leisure, Culture and Tourism at Chesterfield Borough Council said: “We take great pride in having such a thriving market and being able to offer a wide variety of products to residents and the many thousands of visitors who come each year to see what’s on offer.”
He added: “Take some time over the summer holidays to visit, we’re sure you’ll have a great day out and will pick up some fantastic bargains”.
