A 15-year-old girl claims she was offered drugs by two men after they pulled their car up next to her in Chesterfield.

A worried dad contacted the Derbyshire Times after his daughter was approached by the men in a car on St John’s Road, Newbold, on Sunday night.

The man, who did not want to be named, said his daughter was upset after the encounter at around 8.30pm.

He said: “The two men were Asian in appearance and offered to give her some “weed”.

“They flattered her and said she was good looking.

“My wife and I have reported this to the police so other families can be warned this sort of thing is happening.

“I am concerned the men could have had ulterior motives and could be driving around targeting other young girls.”

A spokesman for Derbyshire Constabulary said: “We sent officers to the area but we could not find the car or anyone matching their description.

“The men were not doing anything illegal and drove away after the girl refused to cooperate with them.

“The family did the right thing in reporting this and if anyone sees anyone matching the description acting suspiciously call the police on 101.”
