Gang burst into Shirebrook man's home and attacked him

A gang who burst into a man's home and assaulted him has been jailed.

A 28-year-old man and his family were at their house in Pear Tree Drive, Shirebrook, on the afternoon of December 19 last year when four men he knew burst in and assaulted him.

Otis Kirby, 19, of Main Street, Shirebrook, Antony Millard, 23, of Darlton Street, Mansfield, and Michael Porter, 27, of Park Road, Shirebrook, were jailed for seven months for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Joshua Shaw, 23, of Harcourt Street, Mansfield, was given three months for the same charge but received 39 months for offences of possessing crack cocaine and heroin with the intent to supply and supplying cocaine and heroin in Nottinghamshire.

The group all pleaded guilty and were sentenced at Derby Crown Court at the end of last month.
