Town and village churches and organisations are invited to send their royal representatives to Hasland Gala Day.
Carnival royalty from all over Derbyshire will be walking and appearing on decorated floats in Eastwood Park on Sunday, June 10, at midday.
Following this, Hasland’s newly elected gala royal family will be crowned by the Mayor and Mayoress of Chesterfield, Cllr Donald Parsons and his wife Diane.
The bumper royal family comprises Mollie Bradshaw (Little MIss), Katie Lunn (Petal), Morgan Wilson (Personality Petal), Tilly Stapleton (Rosebud), Tamika Tuwacha (Personality Rosebud), Helena Bond (Princess), Leoni Kirkland (Personality Princess), Georgia Moore (Junior Queen) and Ebony Hulley (Personality Junior Queen).
Claire Walker, Hasland’s royalty organiser, said: “Both myself and the rest of the committee would love to see more local faces competing in this year’s carnival royalty arena.
“We would like to send a plea out to any church/organisation/town or village who have royalty and ask them to come along and have fun with all the other children.”
The gala day will be officially opened at 11am by the Mayor and Mayoress of Chesterfield and will play host to the Chesterfield Musketeers Show Band, Carlo the Clown, a dog show, climbing wall, a Punch and Judy show, fairground rides, a table top sale, as well as many other stalls and attractions.
