Furry felines in need of a home

Could you welcome a furry feline into your home? If so we have a host of four-legged friends who are in desperate need of a family.

First up is Digit, a four-year-old cute kitty who is in need of a break from his tough life.

He was living as a stray before being taken into the Cats Protection Derby Adoption Centre.

After being pushed away so much he’s a feeling a little bit scared, and can have a little hiss says the centre’s marketing and publicity officer Gail Newport.

“He doesn’t mean it though, and he will let you stroke him. Underneath the tough exterior he’s just a softy at heart who is crying out for some TLC.

“He was given his lovely name as he had to have a toe removed, but this is all resolved now,” said Gail.

Next up is 15-year-old Frederick.

He is an older boy whose previous elderly owner became too ill to continue to look after him.

He’s very friendly and is looking for a quieter home to retire to.

He’s currently on medication to help with his mobility. He also has a slight heart murmur however, this doesn’t need any treatment.

Gail said: “This gorgeous lad has lots of love to share on a comfy lap.”

Finally, there’s Sadie.

At just ten months old, Sadie is a nervous girl who was taken into the centre after being found lost and frightened as a stray.

She’s not had the best start to life, and would dearly love find a loving home of her own. She would prefer a quieter home with someone who can give her plenty of time.
