Overnight on August 5/6 a house on Cunliffe Street was broken into but nothing was taken.

The fourth offence happened overnight on August 16/17 when a house on Firthwood Road was burgled and a car was stolen from the driveway.

Detective Constable Damian Lowe said: “It’s very unusual to have so many crimes in Coal Aston so I’m hoping local people may have seen suspicious activity in the area during the last few weeks. If anyone has any information they can contact me on 101 or through the police website or contact their local Safer Neighbourhood Team.

“To reduce the likelihood of being burgled please consider the use of timers on lights within your house. Seeing a light on may well deter a would-be burglar.”
