Fund set up to buy flowers for elderly at Christmas
A Dales man has set up his own Facebook campaign to give older people in the Dales a special something this Christmas.
Jodie McLarkey sent a message out to friends on the social network site asking people to donate to a fund to pay for flowers to be delivered to care homes for Christmas Day.
An account has been set up at Robert Young’s florist, in Crown Square, Matlock, which people can make donations to up until December 23.
The money will then be used to pay for bouquets to be sent to care homes around the Matlock area.
Jodie said: “Luckily I have some great friends who have donated to it so it is going well.”
