Fuming motorist '˜wrongly' hit with fine wants to warn Chesterfield drivers

A fuming motorist who says he was 'unfairly charged' at a major Chesterfield car park says innocent drivers need to be given the heads up before they suffer the same penalty.

Andrew Peck was stung with the £60 fine after parking outside TK Maxx and entering the Lordsmill Street store on June 23.

Premier Parking Solutions, who operate the site, claim Andrew left the customer car park and therefore breached regulations, incurring the hefty charge.

Andrew initially paid up but upon realising he had ‘done nothing wrong’ decided to appeal against the charges by sending his receipt from TK Maxx to prove he was a paying customer.

Despite this, Andrew says Premier Parking Solutions have refused to budge, as they are ‘still happy the charge was issued correctly’.

“I know I will never receive my money back or get any justice,” said Andrew.

“What I would like is to make the people of Chesterfield aware of what is happening in these car parks.

“I just don’t understand why innocent people should suffer these penalties when clearly we have done nothing wrong.”

The Debyshire Times contacted Premier Parking Solutions for comment but received no response.
