A fugitive who is wanted in connection with a fraud investigation could be in Chesterfield.

David Stephen Bradley is the focus of a police investigation into allegations that a credit card belonging to his girlfriend was stolen.

Bradley had left his apartment in Dubai where the couple had lived together without explanation and the investigation was launched after tens of thousands of pounds went missing from her account.

The 33-year-old could now be in Chesterfield, Mansfield or Sheffield.

His former partner Yvonne Hunter, who lived with him in an exclusive area of Dubai, is now calling for him to hand himself in or for anyone who has seen him to contact the police.

She told the Derbyshire Times: “Anyone who knows his whereabouts should contact the police immediately. He is a desperate man and the authorities understand the importance of tracking him down.

“We had been happily residing together and had planned a future together.

“We spent every day together with lots of holidays and weekends away which to me seemed all very happy.”

Yvonne said she met David in January 2015 when he was working for the conglomerate Al Futtaim in Dubai.

Working as a sales manager at an estate agents, Yvonne helped him find his apartment and then helped him furnish the pad after he had relocated from Saudi Arabia.

She says Bradley had not long moved in to his apartment, which was in the upmarket residential area of Emirates Hills in Dubai, when he left his job.

He told Yvonne that he had a better job lined up but was waiting for the religious festival of Ramadan to end before he started.

Bradley then left the country on July 16 last year ‘without a word’ according to Yvonne.

A statement from Nottinghamshire Police was recently issued to the Derbyshire Times.

It reads: “Nottinghamshire Police is appealing for the public’s help finding a man wanted on suspicion of fraud offences.

“David Stephen Bradley, 33, formerly of Mansfield, is described as a white male, 5ft 11in.

“He may have links with companies in the Middle East and in particular Dubai.

“Anyone with information is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 351-17112015.”

It is understood that Bradley’s family, who live in the Mansfield area, have been informed that he is wanted by police.
