Fruity Friday raises cash for cancer charity
Children at Brimington Manor Infant and Nursery School first took part in a sponsored skip – family, friends and neighbours donated money for every jump the child completed in two minutes.
The following day at school was designated ‘Fruity Friday’, with all the children asked to dress in fruity colours or in fruit-themed fancy dress. The children also learnt about the benefits of healthy eating and tasted different types of fruit.

Headteacher Kathryn Fretwell said: “We’ve been bowled over by the money that is coming in, and we’d like to congratulate all the children who took part. They should all be so proud of themselves.
“Parents and children have always been generous here, but this year we decided to do even more to raise money for this worthwhile cause. Our decision certainly paid off!”
