Fresh face of business
THE number of young business directors in Derbyshire has risen throughout 2012, according to a new report.
The latest Duport Business Confidence Report shows the number of directors under the age of 25 in Derbyshire has risen from three per cent to five per cent in the first half of 2012.
Managing Director of Duport Peter Valaitis said: “More young people becoming directors of their own companies should bring a fresh approach to the business community in Derbyshire and revitalise the economic landscape.”
“It’s heartening to see so many under-25s taking control in the face of high youth unemployment, proving that building your own business can be a viable way to make a living.”
