We’ve got some great news for walkers and people who love getting out to enjoy the fantastic Derbyshire countryside

To help keep your feet warm when you are out and about, we’ve teamed up with local retailer, Peakland Outdoors in Chesterfield, to offer a free pair of hiking socks worth £2.99

To claim your free pair of hiking socks, simply fill in the form in this week’s Derbyshire Times and take it to the store on Beetwell Street, Chesterfield.

The offer is limited to one coupon per person and valid while stocks last.

Roger Milner is the man who has launched Peakland Outdoors at the former Yeoman’s shop on Beetwell Street, having worked for Yeomans for 30 years.

The store sells a variety of walking and camping equipment from top suppliers including Regatta, Hi-Tec and Merrell.

It also stocks fishing and shooting equipment and ex-army clothing.

Roger, of Hollingwood, said: “It’s great to be able to breathe new life into this building. I’ve been in this trade all my life and I’m excited about the future.

“I’m dedicated to providing top-quality customer service. You certainly can’t get that online.”

Yeomans was founded in 1904 when Walter Yeomans opened the first store in Chesterfield. It closed at the end of January.

Roger joined Yeomans after leaving school and worked in a number of roles including shop manager, warehouse manager and area manager.

Peakland Outdoors was officially opened on Saturday, March 11.
