Forums give locals chance to have a say

Dales residents are invited to take questions about topical local issues to a series of community forums this month.

Senior councillors and officers from Derbyshire Dales District Council will be available to field questions – and give answers – on anything that’s happening in the Dales at the forums in Bakewell and Cromford.

Presentations will take place on business support and advice and The Peak District National Park Authority will also focus on planning matters at the Bakewell forum only.

Council leader Councillor Lewis Rose said: “Making ourselves available to talk face to face with the people we represent is a vital part of what we do.”

The forums will be held in Bakewell Agricultural Business Centre on Monday, October 14, and the Gothic Warehouse at Cromford Mill on Tuesday, October 29, starting at 7pm. Anyone who can’t attend can email questions in advance to [email protected]
