Former Derbyshire County Council chairman in court on theft charges

FORMER Derbyshire County Council chairman, Robin Baldry, has appeared in court accused of stealing £5,000 from the authority.

Robin Baldry, 70, was at Derby Crown Court yesterday for a plea and case management hearing, facing three charges of theft.

His trial, which is due to last around two weeks, will take place in Derby, starting on January 28 2013.

No pleas have been entered to the charges.
