Saturday September 24
Chesterfield’s first green fair takes place from 10am-4pm and includes a special market, vegetable cabaret with Madame Zucchini, sheep shearing and Brampton Community Band.
Free rides between displays on a seven-seater conference bike, children’s workshops and woodworking displays near the Tourist Information Centre, Wirksworth sculptor Jonny White createsfrom recycled waste at St James’ Square, Vicar Lane shopping centre and The Papergirl gallery is in the old Clarks shoe shop at The Pavements shopping centre.
Saturday and Sunday
Bands, mountain bike racers, extreme sports and frisbee golf are at Birchall Estate Golf Course, Unstone, from midday to 9pm outdoors and continuing indoors.
