Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at an industrial unit in Chesterfield.
Crews from Chesterfield, Matlock, Staveley and Clay Cross were called to SCA Hygiene Products (UK) Ltd, Goytside Mill, Goyt Side Road, Chesterfield, at 9.41am today (August 3).
The fire is believed to have been caused by waste paper products in the roof of the building. The roof space of the building houses a paper machine.
All employees were evacuated safely from the premises.
Fire chiefs have been using an aerial ladder platform, one hose reel jet, three breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera.
Crews are currently damping down and will carry out a further inspection of the building later today.
Site manager at SCA, John Kirwin, said: “We are very grateful to the fire service for their response to this incident.
“The building was temporarily evacuated but thanks to the contribution of the fire service our employees were soon able to return.
“We will now be carrying out a thorough investigation into how the incident occurred.”
No one is thought to have been hurt.
