Firefighters secure runaway horses in Eckington

Horses which were running freely on the road have been secured back into a field in Eckington.

Today, Sunday, April 15 at just after 3.40am both Derbyshire Police and fire crews were called to Bolehill Lane,

A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue said: “Horses were found roaming freely on the roadway.

“We have assisted Derbyshire Police to secure two horses into a field off Bolehill Lane inEckington. Bolt croppers were used to gain access to the gated field.”
