Firefighters put out car after Clay Cross collision

Firefighters tackled a burning car late last night in Clay Cross after a road traffic accident.

Crews had to be called to the site of the collision in North East Derbyshire to douse a vehicle fire .

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue said the car was “smoking” after the collision on Holmgate Road and crews attended at around midnight, and quickly put out the small fire by 00:20.

There were no reports of any serious injuries or another car being involved.
