Firefighters deal with large blaze near Markham Vale
Firefighters have been dealing with a large fire at a landfill site near Markham Vale over night.
Crews from Staveley, Matlock, Bolsover and Ilkeston attended the scene. The incident involved a large fire approximately 60m high involving mixed crushed materials.
Crews pumped water from a nearby lagoon, and the fire service worked with the Environment Agency and the site managers during the incident.
