WORK is still underway at Chesterfield Royal, after the blaze that tore through the main entrance in July.
A temporary structure has been erected to house the main reception until repairs are complete - which is expected to be around March 2012.
It is situated just outside the main entrance with space for five receptionists and a general enquiries desk. The hospital has also provided patient escorts, who help take patients to their appointments or point them in the right direction.
The fracture clinic and orthopaedics have returned to outpatients suite 8, after being temporarily based on the Staveley Ward.
A project board has been set up to consider options for a new reception area including desk, design, seating and decoration. Due to extensive damage to the floor area, the tiles will have to be taken up and replaced.
The hospital have released several videos of the fire’s aftermath, including an outpatients guide, which can be viewed on the Chesterfield Royal website.
