Fire crew smash window to rescue trapped child

A child has been rescued from a locked car by Derbyshire Fire Service.

The window of the car parked on Castle Street Car Park had to be smashed to rescue the child.

A Derbyshire Fire and rescue spokesman said: “At 1.20pm on Sunday, May 7 Staveley Blue attended a child locked in a vehicle on Castle Street car park, Bolsover. A window had to be broken to release.

Derbyshire Police has been contacted for more information.
