Final countdown to Chad Family Fun Day at Southwell Racecourse
The countdown is on to a family highlight of the year at Southwell Racecourse.
More than 4,000 people are expected to attend the Chad Family Fun Day, one of the biggest race days in the calendar.
The Chad-backed event will see a range of fun attractions on offer, alongside a full programme of racing over the jumps at the all-weather course.
A racecourse spokesman said: “With an estimated crowd of some 4,000 people planning to attend, there promises to be a fantastic atmosphere on the day.
“There is lots to enjoy as well for all the family, with Paddington Bear the leading attraction for the youngsters, together with Mr Alexander’s Travelling Show, described as a mixture of magic, balance and illusion, plus the usual funfair rides and more.”
Children’s entertainment wristbands will be available to purchase from just £3.
There is also a fancy dress theme on the day for the youngsters, with three lots of Love2Shop vouchers to be given away to the winners – the theme this year is children’s TV characters.
And Southwell Racecourse has teamed up with the Chad to offer a fantastic two-for-one offer for tickets on the day.

The spokesman said: “Under 18s are admitted free of charge, which means that a family of four consisting of two adults and two children can gain entry to the racecourse for just £17 – truly outstanding value.”
There are a range of different ticket options available for the Chad Family Fun Day at Southwell Racecourse on Sunday, July 10.
Options include Grandstand and Premier tickets to Punters’ Packages, which are for a minimum group of six paying adults and must be booked in advance.
