Festive family fun at Cromford Mill

There will be festive frolics for all the family at an historic mill this winter.

Arkwright’s Mill, in Cromford, will be putting on a variety of activities on Saturday and Sunday, December 13 and 14, to get people in the Christmas spirit.

Between 1pm and 3pm on both days people can visit Santa and his reindeer in the mill yard.

There will be carol singers on Saturday between 1pm and 3pm and on Sunday visitors can listen to ‘Windwirks’, Wirksworth’s wind band, as they play a Christmas repertoire between 1pm and 3pm.

Throughout the weekend, youngsters will be able to follow the Christmas Star Trail, solve a puzzle and win a prize.

The mill’s Christmas shop will feature festive gifts, food, decorations and Christmas cards. There will also be mulled wine and mince pies.

Visitors will also have free entry to the art and makers Christmas special.
