Derbyshire set for warm spells this weekend

Derbyshire is set to enjoy warm spells over the weekend as it looks ahead to more sunshine next week.

Temperatures are forecast to reach the mid-teens, according to the Met Office, with sunny spells interspersed with cloud on both Saturday and Sunday.

With the exception of some light rain in Chesterfield around lunchtime, the county should remain dry, with plenty of sunshine on the way in the next seven days.

Highs of 16 degrees are expected this weekend and 18 into next week.

Britain has been on lockdown since March 23, with people only permitted to leave the house for essential work, to collect supplies such as food and medicine, for medical reasons or to exercise.
