Across Nottinghamshire, 299 permits were issued to young people in the last year.

The most popular jobs are newspaper rounds and shop work.

The Children and Young Persons Act 1933 permits children between 13 and 16 years old to be employed. However, the legislation contains limits on working hours and provides restrictions on the types of employment children can undertake.
