Emergency services called to two-car crash in Eckington

Firefighters from Staveley were called to a two-car crash in Eckington yesterday (Tuesday).

Crews were called to Station Road at 2.53pm after reports of a collision involving two vehicles, a Landrover Freelander and a Renault Scenic.

The Landrover was on its roof and firefighters provided first aid at the scene. The ambulance service and police also attended.

The road was closed until around 6.20pm because of a spillage of oil and engine fluid.

Police said there were no serious injuries.
