Emergency services were called to Walton Dam last night to a serious incident.
Unconfirmed reports suggest a man was found dead by a group of children.
Police attended the scene near Walton Dam just after 7pm and the air ambulance landed in a nearby field, according to eyewitnesses.
The Derbyshire Times has tried to contact the Derbyshire Constabulary press office and the Derbyshire Air Ambulance but has been unsuccessful so far.
