Children as young as two years old had a taste of what it is like to work for the police last week.
PCSO Anthony Boswell, of the Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, organised for eight tots from Bradwell Pre-School to visit the local police office.
The youngsters, all aged two or three, met their local Police Community Support Officer and looked around the office, on Netherside.
They also got the chance to sit in a police car, test the sirens and to try out parts of a police uniform, including different hats and jackets.
PCSO Boswell said: “We often visit local schools and children’s groups as we hope that by having positive interaction with youngsters at an early age, we can build good relationships as the children grow older.
“The youngsters seemed to enjoy their visit, and the clear favourite for the little ones was the part where they got to sit inside a police car.”
