Like many local secondary schools, Hasland Hall has been welcoming visitors from Year 6 who will soon become members of our school community.
The Induction Day on July 6 included tours of the school and getting-to-know-each-other games.
Every Year 7 student had made an alternative school brochure for each Year 6 student and Mrs. Gibbs, learning co-ordinator, had created some attractive quiz questions based on the booklets.
Later, the prospective students took part in taster lessons in Design, Spanish, French and PE. The atmosphere was great, with many Year 9 students helping to guide the younger students around at lunchtime, to a variety of clubs.
Newspaper club students gave a PowerPoint presentation and we hope that many more budding journalists will be joining the club in September.
We are excited to welcome such an enthusiastic group to our school. Roll on Autumn... well perhaps we deserve some well earned holiday first.
