Chinese is on school menu

As of last week St. Anselm’s Prep School has introduced a new language to its extra-curricular activities.

Mandarin is now an option alongwith Latin, ancient Greek and French.

Not only is Mandarin the national language of China, it is more than just a language; it is an opportunity to explore one of the most ancient cultures in the world.

China is also burgeoning power with the fastest growing economy in the world and courted by some of the world’s greatest leaders.

The children at St. Anselm’s adore every minute with Mrs Zhong and are starting to get the knack of speaking the language, although seem quite bemused at the thought of writing it in Chinese Symbols.
