A group of tenacious techies from Frederick Gent School have created an award-winning app to promote good deeds in the community.

The year nine boys from the South Normanton school beat off 2000 other students to win the nationwide O2 Think Big competition with their Community Heroes app, after pitching their idea to O2 bosses and Dragons’ Den star Doug Richards.

Their app, which urges users to complete good deed, will now be made and be available for download.
