A generous Derbyshire pub is urging people to nominate a Dronfield family who missed out on Christmas to take advantage of a free, belated celebration and a £1,000 cash prize.

Fayre & Square family pub restaurant The Chequers, on Eckington Road, Dronfield, is asking if anyone or someone anyone knows was forced to spend Christmas apart from family or had Christmas ruined by any difficulties like a power cut to enter them into a competition.

The winner, as chosen by Fayre & Square’s very own Fayrie Godmother, will receive £1,000 cash as well as a family meal at their nearest Fayre & Square, backed by the pub’s “no quibble” guarantee.

To nominate yourself or someone you know, simply get in touch via Facebook or the website at www.fayre-square.com or www.facebook.com/FayreandSquare.

But be quick, the competition closes on Friday 10th January 2014.

Darren Lines, manager at The Chequers, said: “Christmas Day should always be memorable, but only for the right reasons. That’s why we have, once again, enlisted the help of our generous Fayrie Godmother to hand this second chance on a plate to one family.

“If you or someone you know have a relative that was serving in the forces, you were working the Christmas shift yourself, or the festivities just failed to deliver, tell us why you or they are the most worthy family and we could be giving back the Christmas you and your relatives missed.”

Fayre & Square is a national pub restaurant brand from Spirit Pub Company. The brand aims to provide great value to their guests, all day every day, with their core two for £10 deal on main meals and their “No Quibble” guarantee – if for any reason guests are not happy with their meal it will be replaced.
