One photographer captured the stunning sunrise that could have been taken anywhere in the world but was taken in a Derbyshire back garden.
Simon Moody, 46, woke up on Wednesday, January 13 to a sunrise he could not take his eyes off.
He said: “I am very lucky because I live in Uppertown overlooking Ashover and when the weather is good it makes for a great picture - which it certainly did here.”
Last year Simon suffered heart failure and is off work recovering.
“I know how precious life is now so every day I wake up and say good morning world and I hope thsi picture makes people feel as lucky as I am to be alive in beautiful Derbsyhire.”
