YOUNGSTERS got the chance to improve their skills and score a signed football in sporting sessions organised by police.
Free football coaching sessions run by Chesterfield FC football in the community have been held in Stand Road Park over the last two weeks.
The sessions were organised by the Dunston, Moor and St Helen’s Safer Neighbourhood Team and the prize for the youngster who worked hardest was a football signed by all the Spireites players.
Ten-year-old Dillan Mann was awarded the ball for his attendance, skill and effort following the final session on Thursday, August 18.
PCSO Adele Chapman-Jones, who helped organise the sessions, said: “Football brings together groups of youngsters allowing them to make new friends and keep fit.
“Dillan was a deserved winner, having attended all sessions and working hard throughout.”
The sessions were funded by Derbyshire police and Chesterfield Borough Cllr Tony Rogers.
