A different Christmas shopping experience in Derbyshire

With Christmas markets and crafts on all over the county we have rounded up the best places to go to this weekend 12 and 13 December, to pick up something you would not find on the High Street.

All weekend there will be the Bakewell Craft and Gift Fair in the Brigade Hall, Open from 10.30am until 4.30pm and admission is free.

On Saturday, December 12, Brimington Churches Together and Brimington Village Circle present the Christmas Markets, one will be held in St Michael’s Church Hall, Church St, Brimington, between 10am until 1pm and the second will be from 11am until 2pm in Hall at the Road Methodist Church, Hall Road, Brimington.

Eyam Hall and Craft Centre will be celebrating with their very first festive Food Market on Saturday 12 and 13 December, 10am-4pm, featuring food producers from across Derbyshire and singers on both afternoons. Saturday afternoon will feature the Belper Singers, whilst visitors on Sunday afternoon can see various arrangements from Heartbeat Chorus, including some from their festive repertoire. The market will be open 10am to 4pm with the hall, which will be traditionally dressed open from 10am to 3pm.

Over in Parwich the Annual Christmas Tree Festival returns for both Saturday and Sunday at St Peter’s Church, there will also be a craft and gift fair, children’s Christmas craft activities and refreshments.

Running from Saturday to Monday, December 14 will be the Dales Fair at Bakewell Town Hall will be offering crafts, gifts and foodstuffs to shoppers.

If antiques, buying or selling, is your thing then head on down to the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton on Sunday between 9am and 5pm and pick up that one of kind buy.

Also on Sunday is the Chesterfield Artisan Market where there will be over 80 traders selling food and unique gifts between 10.30am and 4pm.
