Teenage sweethearts who were pals during their school days have gone on to celebrate 60 years of marriage.
Keith and Ethel May White, of Calow, Chesterfield, went to Bolsover Boys and Girls schools and they were married much later on October 15, 1955.
Mr White said: “I worked as a miner and Ethel worked at Robinsons before we began courting.”
The couple went on to have daughters Julie and Elaine and have a granddaughter Carol.
Mr and Mrs White have spent their lives travelling and globe-trotting and to mark their Diamond Wedding Anniversary they enjoyed a holiday to Majorca.
