Around eight volunteers from Matlock in Bloom and the Civic Association turned out on a wintry Saturday morning to take part in the Clean for the Queen event.

Clean for the Queen is a national campaign to try and clean it up our streets as a birthday present for the Queen’s 90th birthday this year. The Uk is much more littered than when she came to the throne

The volunteers collected several sacks of litter in just an hour from the centre of Matlock.

Matlock in Bloom is appealing to everyone to help out in their own locality by clearing litter and keeping the town clean and green for residents and tourists.
