Derbyshire students smooth the path to success

Teens from Ockbrook School’s young enterprise team 2016/17 have been busy preparing for the annual trade fair at Intu Derby.

They are launching their personalised Mason jars, along with a zingy and fresh walter-melon smoothie recipe.

Young Enterprise is a charity organisation aiming to give young people a chance to start their own businesses from scratch and learn useful skills and experiences to take forward into the future.

The Ockbrook team originally debuted the business plan at the school’s annual winter fair in November.

A spokesman for the team said: “This is where we sold our starter products which were a huge success.

“We sold a variety of flavours of fudge with a fruity twist – raspberry marshmallow, Christmas pudding and cranberry clementine.

“We sold out on the day and have been asked by many of our customers after the event if we were continuing selling fudge as part of our range thus, we are selling new fresh flavours at the trade fair.”
